The Pros and Cons of 'Stealth' Marketing

'Stealth' has become the word of the week with a number of vendors opting to try and sell their property without the formalities of web exposure, floorplans and brochures. Instead relying solely on agency walk-ins and residual applicants from previous or current marketing of similar priced properties.

The benefits of Stealth marketing can sometimes lead to a Vendor getting lucky in securing a buyer at an acceptable price and therefore avoiding multiple viewings of your home and all that comes with formal marketing i.e. websites, boards etc. However, in the current market, sales are only being achieved after a number of viewings and by not exposing yourself to the major search engines, you could fall into the trap of underselling your property.

We would recommend a full commitment to open marketing to give the vendor, every opportunity to maximise on the potential to have your property seen by as many buyers as possible. This will attract enquiries via the search engines such as Zoopla and Rightmove, which have proven invaluable in recent years.

Week 3:

Again Realm continues with four more move ins within the next two weeks and two new tenancies agreed last week. We have number of lettings and sales valuations coming up in the next few days - so we're looking forward to getting more properties on the market for our hungry buyers and tenants alike.
